      <content:encoded><![CDATA[As per the title, what’s the favoured oil, brand and spec, for hard track driving. Rs225 with the usual mods, plus 250 turbo, mapped to circ.285bhp.<br />

I’ve run a na mx5 for a couple of years, used whatever was on sale, good brands, just changed it every 2 Trackdays, but now I’ve got something with some power, want to give it the best chance of survival.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[After delaying it multiple times, I got to the track finally. My car is primarily for road use, but I was really satisfied with its handling even in this nearly standard form.<br />
Mine was the only Megane out there that day, but there were a lot of Clios.<br />

<br />
06th November, £399, the full GP track, so not horrendous for Silverstone. BTW you can also book the hotel behind the Green Man for £37.50.<br />

Running 1st track day in the Megane Sunday, also running a set of AO50s on aftermarket 18&#039;s 235/35/18&#039;s<br />

Whats the best pressures to set them, cars 1300KG with me with BC&#039;s running almost 3 degrees front camber, 2mm toe.<br />
<br />
Guides say  29 - 31 Hot.<br />
<br />
i&#039;ve used them on my clio but just little 195 / 205 / 50/15&#039;s I normally run the fronts 21 PSI cold and that gets them to 27 after a session -<br />
Rears I use to run the Clio 24PSI cold and that got them up to 29 after a session<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Fairly new here just thought I&#039;d share some Nurburgring shots of the car.<br />
<br />
Bit of a mixed feeling so far as had a fair few mechanical problems, wheel bearing failure, outer cv, and also more worrying had a track rod end nut fail... thankfully this was in the car park at 2km/h, lets not even think about what I was doing less than 20 mins before this!<br />
<br />
Over winter I am replacing track rods, drop links, shafts, and what ever else I can change to try and eliminate future failures.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[so popped down to see my old mate woodsie at sw motorsports, he is going to make me a harness bar that needs no drilling and attaches to the sill seatbelt bolt on each side and the seatbelt anchorage on the b post. retaining the original belt aswell. also will have bracing and a d-tube to give clearance to the seat rears. this is not a roll bar as it will not have bracing going to the the rear seat deck. i suspect it will give some roof rollover support though nowhere near what a half cage...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Have had this happen twice now. After a while on track, clutch pedal wouldn’t return to its normal position by itself. Clutch was still working and was fine after a trip to the pits, clutch also fine in general driving since trackday. Happened to me at Castle Combe a while ago and recently at Bedford, both days were quite warm, Castle Combe was mid 20’s Bedford was high 20’s/30 degrees C. Anyone else had this or know what could be causing it? <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hello, I searched the forum and came across a few posts on modded ST180s previously owned by RS Meg owners.<br />
<br />
I currently use a Clio 197 for Hills and Sprints in the Road car class. I use the car for both commuting and for the events.<br />
<br />
I am thinking of changing for either the ST or Meg, cost wise the ST at around 300bhp with diff seem good value. Is the Meg that much better with similar power 310 approx, putting the power down, handling etc. <br />

I prefer the look of the Meg, but as it’s a daily...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have have a clio 182 track car but recently picked up a 275 trophy (LY) and increasingly I&#039;m just thinking ill get track insurance and start using the megane. <br />
<br />
It&#039;s so great to drive, I&#039;ve been keen for more punch on track and (I didn&#039;t think I would care about this...) it&#039;s just a more pleasant place to be than the stripped clio.<br />
<br />
I&#039;m basically all done with the clio bar tye cage and harnesses but I&#039;m starting to wonder whether I save the cage money and spend it on tracking the megane....<br />

Did my first track day in the Megane last week, and now want to install proper harnesses, as I only have the oe seatbelts at the moment. I have the Recaro seats, but still am being thrown around terribly. It is quite uncomfortable, and I am sure I am losing lap time just trying to cling on through the steering wheel. My arms are jelly after just a a few laps. This is on road tyres (Michelin PS4S), so would of course be worsened considerably on sticky tyres, which I intend to use at...<br />
