Lower hub joint drivers side has movement in and is making an annoying sound at slow speed on bumps. Seem to remember hearing these are a bit of a pain to do yourself? Anyone know a Renault specialist that will do this job(I’m in the south east)? Other than that what are the alternatives to get rid of this problem? Any feedback will be much appreciated.
I’ve done 4 of these and haven’t found them too bad tbh, so long as you have a ball joint removal tool. Having said that I’ve not encountered ceased bolts when doing them which I’m sure would put a different slant on things.
Ok, cheers. I don’t have a ball joint removal tool, have got a press I could use. My car is a 2014 with just over 60,000 miles on the clock. Haven’t come across any completely seized nuts/bolts yet when doing jobs.
You’ll find it awkward to use the press.
