I decided to treat the car to some tlc, washed it used some tardis then some iron-x to clean up the paint work. The stuff does really work it cleaned up the paint well. At this stage I should have clayed barred it but I did not have any left. Moved into some megs ultimate polish and gave the car a once over. Started with a quick z6 spray, it very easy to use just a spray on and wipe off does not take much effort at all. then used the z2 with zfx and applying was nice and easy you are meant to use very little which I did, took about an hour to dry and buffed it off, again was not too much hard work to buff off compared to other waxes I have used. Applied another coat of z6 then another z2. The final coat was z8 which was as easy as z6 to apply. I had planned on doing 3 coats of z2 but the drying times were longer than expected as it was getting late. Initially feeling was a bit disappointing as the paint did not feel like glass and was still quite rough in places (go back to the lack of clay barring) but it does look good and the gloss levels are massively improved . Considering it's a 2007 r26 65000 miles in white which I have owned for over a year it has come up nice. I gather from the paint work the previous owner was not much into the paintwork and washing. Doing this type of work really makes you realise how many stone chips and little scratches and marks are on the car. Overall apart from the lack of smoothness the zaino range does seem very good, easy to apply and you apply so little that it should last a good few coats. Time will tell how long it lasts as its meant to be 6 months plus. I may next time I gets washed add a 3rd layer of z2 but will see how times go. Will report back once it rains on the beading and how long it lasts. Will add some pics when I get chance tomorrow
an update: the water beads nicley now that it has been waxed and the shine is still looking good after a week. Did a track day yesterday and the car got covered in bugs and tyre / tar marks, washed it and everything came off nice and easy with no hard scrubbing added a quick coat of z8 (takes 10 mins) and its back to looking good again. Ideally needs another coat of z2 and grabbed a cheap machine polisher from Aldi so might give that a go.
