Hi guys, I've just bought a 2010 RS250 (and I love it) and bought it in the knowledge that the passenger side LED DRL unit in the lower blade wasn't working. Obviously, either the ballast or LED unit (or both) needs replacing, but in the meantime I was just going to switch off the single working DRL in the setting menu as per this thread http://rsmegane.com/threads/265-drl-handy-tip.8153/ However, if I uncheck the box, the remaining single DRL doesn't switch off and it also doesn't switch off if I turn on the sidelights or dipped beam and remains shining at full power. if this a known fault or has the previous owner modified the circuit in some way to keep the DRL's on at all times? Cheers in advance, Den P.S. if anyone has a RS250 LED ballast and light unit available for sale, please contact me!
I don't think it's a known fault, but if a previous owner tampered with it or not is hard to say. Running the DRL's at full power while any of the other lights are on is not allowed (they could blind opposing drivers in the dark). Newer models (common 265, 275) dims the LED's when other lights are on, on the 250 they are supposed to be off.
