Well decided to bite the bullet and bought my first renaultsport, pick her up Saturday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cheers, good spec too. Cup pack, xenons with auto headlights, climate control, Renaultsport monitor, leather recaro with very little wear. Sure there's more that I don't know about but I'll discover in time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a term used to refer to a car that has all the options from the factory. It's not an official designation - just a forum thing. Generally, Renault sell: a 'normal' version of the car a cheaper cup version with worse interior but a better chassis a more expensive 'cup packed' (full fat) car with the better interior from the normal version and the better chassis from the cup There are model version that don't fit the above however, though. Welcome BTW, car looks well. Good to have you along.
Ah I see..looks like I've picked a good one. Well worth the 3 1/2 hour drive down to see it. Cheers mate. [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes it makes a huge difference . It makes the whole car feel far more raw. But press the sport button back to normal and you would hardly know it had been done.
Looks like I'll be paying a visit to the local exhaust specialists [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Very nice car, congrats! And from the door handles being grey, it must have full keyless system also.
To be honest there's probably loads I've missed or overlooked. I've already ordered some wind deflectors for it and it's going in for the middle box delete at end of the month. Just need to sort out picking the car up...Im supposed to get it Saturday morning but I've got a mates wedding to go and it's a 3 1/2 hour drive home so would be cutting it fine [emoji43] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So I picked up the Megane yesterday morning after an early train down to Wigan from Glasgow. First impressions are good..car pulls well, sounds good too videos don't do it justice but definitely needs a bit more if I'm being honest. Noticed some movement from the gearknob when lifting off the throttle so I reckon gearbox mount has seen better days. Tried to have a play with the RS monitor but can't seem to get it to come on. I'm not sure of the correct procedure to do it do might just be me being a potato [emoji23]. Noticed that I (the car) was getting plenty of attention from people so will need to get used to that. Few plans for the car already...wind deflectors arrived yesterday so shall fire them on then get the car booked in for a mid box delete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You have to press both buttons on top of the radio control stalk behind the steering wheel to activate the RS Monitor, Renaults way of doing a secret handshake. Gearknob movement hardly changes from a worn gearbox mount. Mine felt exactly the same up to the moment the bolt snapped compared to after having it fixed. Replacing the lower engine mount by a Vibra Technics one did make quite a difference, the stock lower mount is quite soft.
Ah that's the one I meant...that's on my shopping list. I was pressing the buttons on the stalk [emoji1360]away to have a play [emoji51] cheers mate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ditto the gearbox mount thing - it's exactly as you describe from new. Obviously the mounts aren't totally rigid.
Decided to give the car a wash at my mates after fitting a Pipercross cone filter..makes such a big difference in noise. Also fitted some wind deflectors through the week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah seem to have won a watch with this one..to be honest I had looked at a couple of others and had planned to look at one more but the Mrs talked me in to going to see this one. Last owner was in Fife area of Scotland Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I haven't updated this for a wee while so thought I should. Haven't really done much to the car..just a few small changes. I've removed the rear megane lettering and fitted the black Renault diamonds. Also fitted some wind deflectors and the rhino lip front splitter.I noticed the oem "splitter" is cracked when I was fitting the rhino lip so I'll replace that down the line when I get round to ordering a proper splitter. Didn't get pics last night as it got dark before I finished but I'll get some posted up. Got round to fitting the centre box delete pop today and was chuffed by the difference...haven't heard it with someone else driving it but for £45 I'd recommend to anyone looking for a little more noise without buying a full cat back etc. That along with a Pipercross cone filter keeps me entertained for now...next up will be a decat and Remap and then some lowering springs and that should keep me happy for a bit.
