Xenon headlight unit

  1. My RS250 doesn't have Xenons...

I fancied changing the light unit to the tinted one from the 265, so can I just replace the whole unit with a Xenon one and it'll have all the right connectors in for it?

or do I need to do something else?

  2. Think they need enabling via clip to stop them flickering.

  3. on xenon cars the input to the main beam is a modulated signal, so basically no, you cannot use a xenon headlamp directly on a non-xenon car. There is a control module for the xenon lamps, but if this module is just different, or completely missing, on halogen cars, I'm not sure.

  4. ok fair - given the aggro involved i think i'll leave it then

appreciate the replies, it's difficult trying to find anything informative online as it's all relating to HID conversions rather than replacement of the light unit

  5. On the r26 you can plug and play xenons, obviously the auto adjust feature doesn't work but they do work perfectly fine
