Winter tyres

  1. I'll probably need to replace the winter tyres on my R26 this season... It looks like my choices are Goodyear UG 8, Nokian WR A3, Michelin PA3 and Continental TS 810 S.

What would you guys recommend? Which are the best?

Would you go with 235 or 225 width?

  2. I've had TS830s on my R26, 123d and now my 250. Guys on babybmw rated the nokians.

  3. I used semi slicks all last winter no issues.

  4. 225 for width no reason not to really. As for choice I went for Avon ice touring. Bang for buck they are superb. Better than the yoyo snowproxies and nokians I ha d in my Clio but that could be down to the car.

  5. Narrow tyre will grip snow much better. Go down to 195-205 if you have suitable rims.
