Would be ok on glass but wouldn't use one of the body work. Don't they rely on a squeegy action? So you might end up dragging any small particles across the bodywork.
what he said, you'd scratch the paint badly with any tiny bits of grit. Years ago I made the mistake of using a squeegee on the bonnet after washing, it left fine scratches 3ft long down it Luckily the car was such a pile of turd (Peugeot 406 coupe) I told the finance company to come and take it back anyway.
As already said, will make a bit of a mess of your paintwork I would think  I rinse mine with filtered water and use a Metro blaster sidekick to dry off. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/aqua-gleam-350-mm-de-ionising-water-filters.html http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/metro-vac-blaster-sidekick.html Would like to get the bigger version next http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/metro-vac-air-force-blaster.html
Look a nice bit of kit the air blasters, could I justify 200 quid? Probably..... but I think the wife would kill me!! Never thought about using demin water can get it from work especially just for rinsing.
I know what you mean, I use the blaster sidekick, which is a bit cheaper at £78. Works a treat with the filtered water, especially on well protected paintwork
I've got one and have used it to dry the car before but as previously mentioned it can leave straight scratched on it if any grit is within the rubber fins. If your gentle with it it does work wonders on the roof and bonnet. But it's useless on the the curvier parts of the meg. I got a microfibre towel and use the karcher just for glass now I've repaired the scratches
