window tint removal

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by Ben Ely, Mar 1, 2018.

  1. Hi,

I want to remove some tints from the drivers and passengers side windows as I really don’t like them! To boy racer/drug dealer looking for my liking!

It’s it as easy as heat up with a hair dryer or similar and peel off or is there more to it?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben
if you can pick a corner out, then it's just a case of pulling it back on itself

  3. I’ll give it a go! Can’t look any worse than it already does! Thanks

  5. Personally i love having rear quarter/rear window tints and have been meaning to get mine done since august lol.
In this weather (-3) im pretty sure a hairdryer will be imperative to allow you to remove the tint.

use acetone or nail varnish remover to remove any glue after taking the tint off

  7. Thanks guys,

The tints in question are on front windows! Pretty sure it will be an MOT failure. Back windows will be left with there dark tints as I prefer the security.
