That for a while now we have not had new car makers enter the market? Would you say its all these compliance rules? Would you buy a car that was economical and cheap if it was polluting and not that safe compared to modern cars?
Tesla? You can do it if you have a shed load of cash to start it up and then quite a bit of luck and business acumen. Even Tesla nearly went under.
Too expensive. People seldom want to try new and untested stuff. Atleast if it doesn't have a different and unique selling point such as Tesla! Hell no I wouldn't personally buy a new car that is considered unsafe and unnecessarily unenvironmental!
