R26 Which Knock Sensor?

    I've purchased a new knock sensor (from autodoc) which looks like the one I have seen in photos but when I came to replace it I found that mine is completely different!

    Is mine standard (2007 R26) and I just have the wrong one?

    I'd say the one with only one connection pin is the oil pressure sensor.

    White one is oil pressure by the looks of it, knock sensor looks correct

    Thanks Brigsy - looks like I've been a numpty!

    Presumably it's on the right of the filter (behind the yellow arrow) rather than on the left? 20221011_194106.jpg

    It is indeed to the right of the oil filter mate. Torque it to the correct spec as per workshop manual, as when incorrectly torqued they can read wrong.

    Thanks - and thanks for the tip.

    I don't have a manual and google didn't help - I don't suppose anyone can tell me the torque setting...?

    My notes say 18nm

    I only have meg3 manual to hand but that says 18nm same as Ian said above Screenshot_20221013-144129_OneDrive.jpg
