    I find myself in need of having my calipers repainted, and my wheels need a small refurb and painting.

    I don't have anywhere to do this myself (Street parking only..) so ideally was after somewhere that offers the facility to do it for me. Not in a rush as the car isn't a daily.

    Anyone know of anywhere? Preferably near London / Lincs / A decent train station if not!

    Be nice if there was someone o here to send your calipers to be redone.

  3. There's a guy on 197 / 200.net who does calipers, can't remember his username but he does them on an exchange basis for the Clios

    I don't have the capability to remove them really, which makes it worse !

    Does he change any of the seals or anything, or just paint?

  7. I had mine painted at a place in Long Eaton. New nipples but not seals. Paint finish is fantastic, very professional!

  14. I have put my name down on his list. His name is Stephen. Here is the info he posts on the other forum. Hope he doesn't mind me doing this:

    Ill refurbish the calipers to the design you want, Ill P.M you saying they are ready to be dispatched and you paypal me the money. When you receive the new calipers and fit them to your car, you'll then send me your old calipers (Remove pins and pads please). Ill then inspect them and if everything is okay Ill refund the safety deposit. With rear calipers, send me the caliper mount as well so this can be painted at the same time.

    FRONT CALIPER PRICE

    Bleed Valves = £ 7

    Seal kit = £ 35

    Paint and stickers = £ 20 (May change according to calliper colour and design)

    Postage = £ 20 (Parcel force 48 hour)

    Labour = £ 45

    Safety deposit (Refunded when I receive your old calliper’s) = £ 60

    Total = £ 177

    REAR CALIPER PRICE

    Seal kit = £30

    Bleed Valves £7

    Paint = £15

    Labour = £70 (This is higher to fronts due to the extra work in assembly of calipers)

    Postage = £15

    Safety deposit = £60

    Total = £197

    If you have both front and rears done, then postage will be £25 total.

    Front and rear combined total = £364

    So that's £244 excluding deposits for front and back?

    (and the maths doesn't quite add up!)

  16. I paid about £300 for 2 brand new front calipers on the r26 from Renault as a point of reference.

  17. Sounds like a good deal to me.

    I suppose the issue would be him having stock of Megane callipers to get the ball rolling?

    Anyone able to point him over here?

  19. The 197/200 calipers are the same as far as I'm aware buddy

  20. Cheap ones here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141327026089 might be useful to someone to send to get refurbed

    I refurbed some sets on the other forum for people, never charged as much as the kid on clio197 but looks like he does a good job to.

    If it's the same then perfect.

    Assuming a garage doesn't charge to much to swap them over!

  22. Just pm'd him to come on here.

    Cheers fella!

  24. They are so easy to change yourself as long as your handy with the spanners. And know how to bleed brakes.

  25. Good news guys. He will be on here in the next month or so.

  26. Did this guy ever turn up on here?
