Does anyone know of a good place to go for wheel alignment in Cheshire? I've just booked in with ABP Motorsports near Crewe and it's going to cost me £85. Stupidly expensive, but they've promised me a fast road setup. Is there anywhere cheaper/better nearby?
Without top mounts and camber shims the only adjustment you get out the Megane is toe so anywhere with a decent laser alignment rig will do
Yeah I know, just wanted to go somewhere who would set it up with the right amount of toe for a fast type of setup. Is there much point in me bothering with that?
Just depends on your driving style tbh, I would stick with stock settings if it were me without camber adjustment. On my old Fiesta which had Camber/Castor and toe adjustment on the front i ran quite a lot of Neg camber, As much castor as i could get and a little bit of toe out to help with the turn in but that made it a bit lively on bumpy roads and straight lines.
They are ripoff merchants. They seem to do good work, but charge dealer prices. I believe that hunter alignment is way better than simply tracking.
Just gave them a call actually, I'll be going there in future, but ABP have taken a £55 deposit so I'll have to go there now :/
