What type of tyres??

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Adam2193, Jun 2, 2014.

  1. Just needing to replace my tyres on my megane 250 and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which are best? Car is used as a daily only and not being tracked so that needs taken into account so I don't need nothing to specialist!

    Thanks for any advice!

  2. Any leading tyre brands really if its only for road use, Ps2, Ps3, nankang ns2r, personally I'm running brand new Michelin pilot super sports and they are fantastic, I use the car as a daily with the odd quick blast through some back roads and once warm they are just immense loads of feedback from them

  3. Cheers mate good to know, as I say a not going to track the car but want something that performs well on the roads when I do give it some!

  4. Any of the above would suit your needs mate, nankang ns2r's are getting good reviews of some of the guys on here sure someone will come along and shed some light on them and I think they are around £100 a corner from cazan racing, I got the PSS £114 a corner from lovetyres

    PS2's or Pilot Super Sports.

NS-2R's are a compromise for a pure road tyre IMO so i would stick with something else if your not going to track it, Saying that the PSS is a cracking tyre on track as well!

  6. Jamie I'm sure I spotted your car at the weekend!

  7. ^^^^bit off topic there sorry lol

LOL, Quite possibly, In Crianlarich on Saturday?

  9. I've fitted Michelin Supersports today. WOW.

It's safe to say I wouldn't go back to PS3's.

  10. My friend recommended Dunlop maxx sport RT. I think I will go for them next time. Good price, quiet, perfect performance on wet surface.

  11. Im also in a similar situation except I'm doing a novice track day in August. Im tempted for Vred Vorti's... But i do like Conti Sport 5's. I can't decide =/ Heard Nankangs wasn't great...

  12. Michelen PS2. Federal RSR.

I am going to get this as a sticky.

  13. I had F1's put on for my ring trip. Very good tyres and were pretty good out in the track too

  14. I'm running nankang ns2r's and they are fantastic in the dry.

  15. I went from Bridgestone RE050 to the Goodyears and found the sidewalls on the Goodyears nowhere near as stiff as the Bridgestones, certainly felt way sharper on the OEM Bridgestones. I'll be going for Mich Super Sports next

  16. just bought the Asy2's... see how they are. =)

  17. I'm running F1 Asy 2's all round and I'm liking them a lot ... very good all rounder for mine as a daily

  18. +1 to this. They came with my new car and they're the best I've had, or maybe it's just the 250 is much more capable than my 225.

  19. I'm a member of multiple car forums and most will recommend F1's for daily drivers

  20. I think to buy pair of Dunlop Sport Maxx RT for front axle of my Meg. I have quote for £177 per tyre from local ATS. Do you have any experience with them?

  21. On mich ps3 on front superb atm can fault them, much better than the nexens that were on there before  177 seems really expensive but then that is ats....

  22. I fitted conti sport 5p's all round and find them quite good.

  23. Went from conti 5s to mich supersport. Night and day for me . mich from now on in

  24.
