Wondered what speeds your cars become a little wobbly/twitchy?

  2. if its twitchy, something wrong. The cars high speed stability is one of its strengths.

  3. Have you jacked your car up and given things a wobble about see if any things loose. I know you said you've had your tracking done recently. Doesn't mean they've tightened things back up fully.

Jacking the car up soon to do some exhaust work so will have a wobble then. It is a sweeping corner at say 120mph it gets wobbly and the surface isn't great. It's not uncontrollable I just remember my 225 being more planted at high speed but then that did have coilovers.

  5. Is it the back end that’s twitchy? These cars have a fairly mobile rear end maybe making it feel twitchy? I hope your not doing 120 mph on the road haha.

Yeah I'd say it is the rear end, maybe floaty is a better word than twitchy? Not on public roads, I couldn't tell you where it is. I tend to drive in a random direction and get my satnav to take me home.

  7. Mines feels a bit floaty at the moment and I think the shocks are past their best with nearly 60k on them.

    It doesn't.

Something is wrong. Id also suggest to stop driving like a helmet on the road....

What do you think could be causing it?
They're private roads with no speed limits.

    Of course they are.

Too many bits that can cause issues on them. Get it in the air.

We're getting it in the air soon, what are the main things to check?

  13. drop links,anti roll bar bushes/link,track rod ends,swivel joints,rear beam bushes,front arm bushes,struts/springs..
    always difficult to trouble shoot.
I just replaced everything!..but my car is older than yours..

  14. at Bruntingthorpe test ground can see 156 mph one way and 167 mph (GPS) the other and vehicle is completely stable

  15. what?..even with your wheelbase..?what you got 15" wide wheels then??

  16. Mine was mobile on turn in, but that's on demand, depending on your mood and how much weight transfer you play with. It's an astonishingly adjustable chassis yet should be very stable at high speed without lateral load or aggressive deceleration.
