  2. I've just traded in my immaculate 2011 250 Cup with 21000 miles on, I got £11k p/x which I was happy with, prices seem to be dropping quickly at moment.

Dealer now has the car up for sale at £12999

  3. Going to be private sale for the not p/x as wouldn't get as much

  4. I traded my 10 plate 250 + CUP + Light pack (Xenons) + Recaro + Rs monitor + Spare wheel. Full Service History, 48k miles. for £9000. That was back in Feb.

Had it up here for 10k and no one wanted it.

  5. Was offered 9k trade in but not accepting 9k for it see how I go private selling it

  6. Any pics of it??

  7. I have problems posting pics on this site Lewis can e mail pics if anyone wants to have s look at it

  8. Speak to ktec they offered me decent money for mine when I thought of selling

  9. In my experience, selling privately can be awkward. Often just get a lot of time wasters, joy-riders and Mike Brewer wannabes with ridiculously low ball offers.

9K isn't too bad for a 60 plate RS. They might get close to 10K if you're willing to commit to the car you want to buy from them and a price you'd be happy with.

I traded in my 10 plate RS250 (60k miles) a couple of months ago. Originally they only offered 7700. Got them up to 8500 after a 2 day stand off plus 5% off the car I was buying (£625). Now my old RS is up for sale for 10K. Considering it needed a full service & 4 new tyres I'm happy with the deal I got. Ultimately trade dealers want your business and often have more room to bend than they like to let on.

After a bad experience of trying to sell privately, I would prefer to use the hassle free trade-in, even if it means losing out on a few hundred quid.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

  10. I am trading my Clio 200 in at ktec. I am losing some money on it but out of all the dealers I've spoken to they are the only ones who really weren't taking the pss. You're always going to take a hit on a trade in but it makes life easier. A good way to check the value is use we buy any car then add a grand because they always low ball offer.
