..and to be told that my driveshaft is missing the offside seal to the gearbox so its pissing box oil...ffs!
Cheers mate feels like it's in the right hands now at least. Its done a couple of runs but the power is down massively.. I could actually have a little cry right now! Currently at 271 bhp, shockingly bad.
Although it was yesterday... First time on the ring what an experience, went easy but really want to go again
Must admit it was a good drive home. Didn't make as much as I thought it would which is a bit disappointing but it still feels like a totally different car. I can see why people recommend RS Tuning. The day was brilliant and Paul's a legend. Power is down due to the hybrid turbo I wasted money on..bit pissed about this in all honesty but hey ho what can I do?! Mybe I'll pick up a 250 one when I have more funds. oh, and found the turbo coolant pump isn't plugged in either, awesome suff  pretty unhappy to find this out..that along with the seal on the gearbox it was a day of ups and downs
iirc it's a td04-19t compressor housing on the standard turbine. I could have got that the wrong way round. Waiting on confirmation from the place that advised me to take it, but Paul was saying he's never been able to make decent gains with this type of hybrid.
PRESENTLY soaking my car in tardis tar remover - well, the remnants of the old spoiler. Fitting the R spoiler hopefully tomorroww; picked it up from the painters and he's done a cracking job!
yes mate it was. I feel like I need to check everything now. The battery tray has also been over tightened so I can even get to the mentioned bolt properly..wanted to sort my short shifter as that doesn't feel right but again can't get to that.. feel like jacking it in Would mind a it less if they hadn't have had it 8 months so it's not like they were rushing it...
I've mentioned the place a few times.. I really didnt want to name and shame and whine about it but the shear number of issues is just not funny now. Got all the work done at engine dynamics, there we go.
This won't be a good advert for them if they see this, people will lose faith, forums can break a company very fast.
Let me just state now that that's not what I want to happen. The guys there are good guys. Due to the time it's taken to get to this point and then to have this has just peeved me off. I know they have and do good work for others, maybe I just have the bad luck. I feel that maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this here but I do stupid things when not happy and finding all this stuff after all this time and money has frankly made me just that. Sorry about hogging this thread too, feel like a right moany old woman
Sorry to read this Adz, Andy is a good guy - have a word and see what he says. My mate has run a 182 turbo done by him for probably 2+ yrs without any issues. Hope you get it all sorted.
Possibly just bad luck and broken attention to the job- that never ends up well. It's all human error after all but I would imagine you paid well enough for this not to happen. Great shame for everybody!
I fitted red LEDs to the interior of my car.....cooooollll (and seedy at the same time lol). Love it.
Fitted new plates from demon plates which are really nice and swapped the number plate lights for a complete led unit because I was fed up of blowing the LED lamps every week!
Where did you get yours from? I bought some off eBay the other day, the quality of them was awful. Pins didn't line up with the plug and the whole unit just felt cheap. Tried realigning the pins myself, but ended up returning them.
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=201322513475&globalID=EBAY-GB I got those, they were super easy to fit and are in nice and tight!
New tyres, 235/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza s001. Also removed rear seat, much much better exhaust noise and some popping on Sport Mode.
Bit of race car prep for next weeks knockhill session, christ it's loud with the decat and supersprint
That hole on the drivers side rear bench, is that there from the factory? I don't recall seeing it on mine... Must get a lot more road noise too I bet, that plastic skin in the boot is pathetic for noise insulation it must sound like the angriest vacuum cleaner in the world!
Yea it is, plastic top with a metal guard on it, will be for the fuel pump (obviously) There is just a bit more road noise..... Actually sounds like the exhaust has been piped into the cabin haha
Fitted some RC5+ pads in preparation for Knockhill next week, but Mikes efforts put mine to shame. Much work taking the rear bench out?
