I decided to cut out some excess weight in form of in unneeded metal in the shell and started cutting out the doors to a single skin as they weigh loads.. then stripped everything off ready to paint the cage and interior
Haha! Need to make the most of this sunshine, Its a rare treat in Scotland. Been living in shorts and T-Shirts for the past week
Fitted summer wheels with new black TPI bolts.. Fitted Mr. Pink brake pins - fortunately my old ones came out without making any fuss.. And yes, I know the car needs a wash, but didn't have time today ;-)
Fitted an 'Andrew Jeffs style' shortshifter. The standard 'R linkage is already modified but this makes it even better.
Been out and set up my scramble boost. Ended up setting 0.2 bar continuous for 2 seconds after button is released.Makes such a difference in the rain, reduced wheel spin to almost nothing. Just need to see how it does when it's dry.
1st service and a wash, LY paint wins so much in the sun puts such a smile on my face. The amount of attention it gets from the public is unreal!
AndrewJeffs used to do the forumers a favour and get the existing ph2 (2006-2009) linkages and machine them to create the short shifter: this stopped in Sept last year or so: Ktec copied his design and provide it with a complete new bearing and linkage from Renault for £238 (unmachined part £130 from renault), I have this on my car and its fantastic and andrewjeffs has confirmed its identical to his......also means the car isn't off the road and you get keep the original to put back on the car. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=5107&appid=12 I think a member on this is starting to offer the service if you send over your linkage.....
What Papps said but I wouldn't pay out for what KTec are charging. Speak to forum member Boardy. See if he can help you out mate.
I can mod the linkage for you mate, but I don't have one I can send you, I just can't get my hands on any. If your not using it daily I can turn one around in a day or two. I'm away on holiday from Monday for two weeks but can do it after I get back.
Cheers mate. Going to research the forum a bit and investigate the Ktec option as we have a fitter and workshop at work that may be able to do it. If not will will be in touch, appreciate the offer though
I Can vouch for Boardy's quality job as I just got one of his fitted today mate, grey I am ever the pessimist in these things but I thought what the hell as I still got the original linkage to put back on, I tell you what mate what a fantastic difference boardy made to my gearbox, not only are those changes nice and close and tight, but there is hardly any movement whilst in gear, each change just seems more precise and quicker, I deff vouch for this linkage by boardy, I never knew him until now and he has been nothing but helpful and polite and it his prices you guys must be mad not to get one.......
Got some kit fitted today at last for me upcoming track sesh, new discs n pads n high temp juice, bigger intercooler and baordy's awesome shortshifter, all I need now is new boots some bushes and castle combe here I come wooohooo....

Gearbox oil change. Took my time and did it in less than an hour. 4 post lift makes it so much easier.
The love i have for this megane... just been out, dusk, warm tarmac, dead roads, sport mode, done. Still smiling! in other news, i got the dealer to lift my xenons light up a bit as i thought they were a bit low, wow! The vision i get now and been missing out all this time, literally leaps and bounds better!
Those moments right there, when it all merges and just makes sense..................................How do people not get cars and driving???? Bloody wonderful
