Yes mate. Unfortunately I've not had much luck recently this is why I'm thinking of just going for a forged build
Is there an underlying issue causing the failures do you know? That's really bad luck for it to happen twice
the first failure was pure fluke Mick, the bottom cambelt cover came loose and hit the belt causing it to jump a few teeth.
Didn't use a kit. You can run a shorter belt round but with the ribbed side of the belt running round the tensioner. I used a 880 belt and 2mm washers spaced behind the alternator bracket worked perfectly.
Hybrid and injectors! Need to get the great mark black to fit the turbo then off to rstuning for a map!
Hub bearing, decat, fitting and securing the Sabelt seat onto some Clio cup mounts I sourced and a service. I'd ask him to fit my OMP wheel too but the lists already rather large so I'll do it myself at some point this week.
Was back on the rolling road again today after fitting new injectors last weekend. Happy to say power is up to 227bhp from the 216bhp the last time, the new injectors are working a treat
Oil and filter change today, then the weather was nice so decided to fit new mudflaps, while the wheels were off I decided to give them a good clean as well as painting the studs. While waiting for the paint to dry I took the megane lettering off the boot also
Fitted a new t piece to the washers as it snapped and they stopped working. Removed sound deadening on the bonnet will need to clean up the underside at the weekend.
Booked in tomorrow morning for a map tweak at RStuning. (Fitting the 630's and mapping out the second sensor in the cat)
Untitled by sah1503, on Flickr Went and saw Paul yesterday traveled 170 Miles, 3 Hours. Well worth it! Mods are Miltek De-Cat turbo back, DIY ITG induction filter with ally bend. 244BHP standard running very rich apparenlty, Paul settled with 266BHP with 275ft/lbs Untitled by sah1503, on Flickr When I got home also fitted Brembo HC discs, with Carbotech XP8's at the front. Untitled by sah1503, on Flickr Untitled by sah1503, on Flickr Standard discs were very warn with hairline cracks around the drilled holes. Very Happy!
Had some gen rear discs and pads fitted yesterday. The old ones were fucked. No meat left on the pads OR the discs. Sounded horrendous. Also got warned that my fronts are getting low and a rear tyre is low too. FML.
Took my car back to Renault for the second time this month - faulty new window loom. Booked in for MOT. Will be fitting new braided lines and fluid later. Oh and used auto finese revive on all the plastics. Took forever fingering all the holes ;-)
Fitted my R26R spolier, remap, sorted out an airbag light issue. Now 2 days off to drive it like I stole it then valet the nuts off it.
Well yesterday....final managed to wrap my new r26 wheels with pilot super sports, only covered around 5 mile so far with but they feel great cant wait for the weather to pick up now so I can give them a good test
Booked in to get the clutch change to SMF, R26R Clutch and some F1's fitted for if its wet at the ring next week!
Bought touch up paint for some nicks and scratches, and ordered some new hella e55 bi-xenon projectors for retrofit
