Can you still get a radio signal? always like short ones for "looks", but useless for picking up a signal
Still need to test it lol.. Just normally listen to ipod music. It's a richbrook one.. So not terrible quality... Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
if you just want to paint the rocker cover just use one of those plastic decorating sheets from toolstation for 99p and take you time masking up areas and should be fine. obviously if you want the block painting you'll need to remove the engine, might be a bit extreme tho just to paint that lol your consistently having a go at people for making new threads and asking the same questions and then telling people what to post. its hardly a busy forum and it doesn't really matter if there asking questions in this thread does it. just chill out
People won't be looking in here to help people, people look in here to see what people have done, if you don't teach people to post things in the right place, they won't learn and they won't get the help they were looking for
The last thing we want to do is put people off from posting. Its quiet enough here as it is. Lets try and be friendly.
Mikey, you've been warned before about your posts. Anymore and you'll find yourself in holiday from the forum.
done a few bits today oil + filter spark plugs cleaned the cone filter new aux belt and tensioner and fitted the stripped aircon pump
That cant be easy for you. I guess you are spending a lot of time sitting in it. Im thinking about getting a Caterham this year.
Nice VX220. Had a NA VX220 before the R26 but a motorbike drove in to the back of it and it was written off for the sake of a hole in the rear clam, bent undertray and chip in the rear light. Mad really, considering it was effectively just cosmetic damage. Had a k series 1800 supersport caterham too. Was great.
How did you find the ownership experience of the caterham? Any tips? Sorry everyone I know this is all off topic
Nearly wrote a vx220t off the first time I drove one... 19 year old me though he could drive lol was a company demo car so would have been a funny way to hand in my notice... Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
Took my speakers out... Think they're blown só need to test them and more than likely replace them Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
Filled the boot with tools, oils, wheels etc, drove it home and given it a really good clean, all ready for tomorrow when i'm off to the ring for a trackday on Tuesday
Slipping when pushing 350lbft, but I know it's not in the best shape, and will get it done in a few months
Ah ok, how many miles has the clutch done? Mine's on 76k on original clutch so just thinking whether to budget for a replacement before mapping.
Removed the manky carpet from the back of the engine bay and fitted some nimbus heat shield Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
How easy is the to fit? Looks so much better.. Probably works better too Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
i removed the carpet from the bay and peeled the black part off the rest and used it as a rough template, i traced round a bit bigger than the original then trimmed it where it need it. i made it in 2 parts as well
I had the same issue after my 225 was mapped to 315 ft/lbs. I've had to go to a dual compound RTS clutch with a new billet lightweight flywheel (7.5kg) from Engine Dynamics. To be honest the dms can't cope with that level of torque and I should have replaced the components before the remap, but hey ho.
Very tempted to do this to mine as my carpet is droopy and horrible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lost a wheel centre a while ago so bought a new one and had it sprayed red but it never matched the wheel colour so replaced the driver side centres with black painted centres, chrome diamonds and red centres. As I removed the wheels to fit the centres I scrubbed all the underside of the arches. Bit of a messy job but looks good now. Just need to get some springs now so I can fit the rest of my suspension parts.
Car in the shop today. So, new dual compound clutch, lightweight smf, new short shift, new swivel hub, new roller bearings in both hubs, new ball joints, new aux belt and laser tracking. And when I get it home, 2 new Michelin for the ones that wore out in just 3 months!!
