What else... Any suggestions

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Mr Spoon, Oct 20, 2021.

  1. Current modifications and or replacement parts

    new cup shocks
    cook sport springs
    Replacement main engine mount
Evol upper and lower solid mounts
    Braided brake lines
    Clutch damper delete
Anti roll bars front and rear
    Scorpion exhaust
    panel filter (no foam)
    Remap

I'm not looking for any more power. I'm not looking for any more chassis improvement. But if there is anything that's a real benefit to have and I've not got it, please suggest away.

One of the best and cheapest mods is a short shifter, transform the gear lever feel should cost about £3.

Why a remap if you don't want anymore power ????
If you are just going to use it as a fast daily, then leave it as it is, theses cars are so capable out of the box.

Yes i have modified mine a lot, but its my track car, i don't use it as a daily i have an SL55 for that if i need.

  3. Maybe some interior changes? Gaiters, steering wheel, gear knob, new floor mats maybe

  4. Have you had your wishbones replaced? I did mine at 50k at it made the car feel so much more direct.

  5. Not replaced the wishbones, they looked ok underneath, but 80k miles I'm sure they are passed best by now.

Ianplymouth- I don't want any more power than I have now. It's plenty. Short shifter. Good shout.

Good shout with the interior. Making it feel fresher sounds good.

  6. How are your tyres? De-badge, Carbon bonnet

You done any maintenance on your leather interior?

  7. All new tyres. No leather too ☺️

  8. Short shifter is a good shout. Could even go for one of those fancy shifters like the ZPO.

Higher spec brake pads would be my suggestion if you haven't got some already. Lots to choose from but the Winmax stuff seems to be a favourite for many in the Megane community.

  9. This is a very good suggestion, the stock brake pads did not like the track today. So much so, one of the pads kicked the pad material out alltogether
