What car have I actually got guys ?

  1. It's a June 2015 Megane Coupe RS 265, that's what the badge says on the back !, it has Brembo front calipers in red, 18" black alloys. The original h/books were lost.
    So, 1/ is this the Cup chassis or not ?
    2/ would this car have the RS display stuff available on the screen, G force/turbo boost etc etc, I cannot find any such capability anywhere in the menu's so far.
    3/ if it does have the RS stuff, where 's it hiding guys ?

    Apologies if I'm being a thicko :confused: any advice and hints gratefully received.

  2. I think the RS monitor (which has the various performance displays) was/is a £250?? Option so it may not have been specified when the original owner did it. It is a little symbol on the menu on the big display if it does have it.

    Not sure how to check if it's a cup to be honest!

    Will be around welshpool on Friday morning could meet up and go through a few things if you like . Got a meeting at Coed Y Dinas first thing but then have an hour or so free from around 9am. Could meet at Coed Y Dinas.

  5. Who loses the books from June to now - 6 months - on an item costing £25,000?

    Does the car feel like it's got a locking diff at the front? If so, Cup chassis. Full lock at very low speed it should feel a bit jumpy and jerky.

    If the car as RS Monitor, it's fairly easy to find if you play about in the menus, to be honest. I'd say it wasn't spec'd from new if you can find it easily.

  9. You've just made my day! I thought the bumping on full lock was suspension wear!
     
  10. A trait of most locking diffs.... My old Mazda MPS made the most horrendous noise when turning at low speed on full lock, and the Trophy skips and jumps when it's on full lock.
     
  11. Which mps did you have AJ-275? I had a 6 mps running 370bhp.

    Red calipers indicates cup chassis.

    To find rs moniter on my 250 you have to press the two buttons on the top of the radio controlled stalk at the same time. It took me ages to find out how. I think the display is different on the 265&275 so they might have made it easier like on the buttons down by the hand brake prahaps.

  15. Not me Xanda, I was assured by the dealer all books were in the glove box, got home, no they weren't and they couldn't find them !
    Yes, it doe's feel like a locking diff as per your description, but no sign of RS monitor in the menu's so prob' not spec'd then.

  18. My 265 has a sticker on the drivers door shut below the lock saying 265 cup etc.
    The RS monitor was an option and is accessed by holding down the 2 top buttons together on the r/hand stalk but it will say renaultsport anyhow if it has it. You then have to press the outer button below these to bring up the display

  19. Facelift 3 MPS. The one with the bonnet scoop.

    Great car. Loved every minute apart from the fuel and servicing bills. I had it for 18 months, did nearly 40k in it and it nearly ruined me. Mazda dealer network is amazing as well.

  21. Thanks to all who replied, great effort guys. Andy Bond has sent me the manufacturers spec sheets on this car, it is a Cup chassis, but no RS monitor, :worried:
