  1. Hey all,

So I got some Gyeon wet coat from waxstock.

Do you put this under wax or on top to get the best protection?

I understand that the car has to be wet to apply wet coat so I'm guessing before?

Or isit to be used by itself (no protection layers?)

    Thanks

    Josh

  2. Do you mean Gyeon Wet coat?

  3. Sorry should have said, yes Gyeon wet coat

  4. Typically sealants like this form a hard layer on top of your paint (it's a layer of SiO2 crystal). So it should be applied directly to the paintwork. It needs to bond to a hard substrate like your paintwork in order to be effective. Wax leaves a layer which is soft in comparison to your paint, so applying sealant on top of wax means it won't bond all that well and won't last either.

This is my two cents [emoji846]

  5. I just fully wash the car before spraying onto one wet panel at a time (sparingly) then activate it by using the high pressure washer from bottom of panel to top. Simples...

  6. Thanks guys,

Hoping to have a go tomorrow, if the weather lets me.....

    Cheers

  7. It's a coating within itself, although you can top it off with a wax if you want to.
