I got a 2010 250 and I've got water in my cubby holes in the drivers side footwell. I followed noshadow's guide and checked my scuttle drains, but they were clear. What else could be causing this issue, to get water in my footwells? Should I of removed the flaps off the rubber inserts that are in the scuttle drains?
@StoatInACoat thanks for replying. Do you know where the air con drain is? It seems to be only the drivers side footwell that's getting wet.
Unless it's in the same place as a MK2 I've no idea I'm afraid! On mine it's under the centre console around the pollen filter/air con condenser area. You should be able to spot it from underneath which will be a lot easier and a lot easier to clean out from there too.
Alright thanks.. I won't really be able to look under the car myself, so I'll take it to my local garage who should help me out
I'm having the exact same issue. (megane 250) Only the drivers side floor storage compartment gets damp, nothing else. Scuttle is completely clear. Aircon, or even the windscreen are my next guesses? I also noticed a small amount of water on the carpet on the passenger side, i think I can see this coming in under the door card though - Does anyone know how to resolve this? Either way, this car is doing my head in - I'm falling out of love with it quickly.
no mate, doors drains all clear on mine. it wasn't overly wet, just a little damp, like condensation on top of the carpet. @RHK3 - make sure you dry yours under the carpets! not been an issue on the 250, as it's only damp. but the same thing happened on my R26 (due to scuttle) and that was soaked on top and under the carpet!
Need to check the drains underneath my doors. @Ash_R26 that would mean I have to remove the carpet, which means taking the interior out?
