Hi Ppl, My 225 has went into the garage to have new Discs and Pads on all round, as well as what I believed to be a selector problem. The garage rang me later that day and explained that when looking into this he found that the reservoir for the the brakes had been leaking onto the top of the gearbox and was causing the clutch to slip. He has said that this will be a 50/50 split between me and the warranty is this correct as It was not caused by wear and tear. Where would I stand with this?? Its and RAC silver warranty if that helps hence it being done in the garage?? Any help would be good. Thanks Dan
Have you asked why it's 50/50? Is the leaking reservoir not covered? If so, then any damage caused should also be cover, no? Maybe it's the clutch that's not covered thinking about it?
Thats what they have said, waiting on an RAC engineer to inspect the car first. But the clutch was only fitted last year and have receipts from previous owner. I think either way at least I have piece of mind that clutch is done i guess. I know it will be done properly as well
