The other day I went to close my door and snapped the plastic back part of the handle (pic attached) - the piano black front piece is fine. The part number is either 00254250 or 197012651, it has both stamped on it and I've had mixed results of whether either of them come back as the right part via Google. I've tried local breakers, only one had any Meganes, and they were missing the entire door cards (or at least I couldn't find the part I need in the detritus inside, anyone shopping at a scrap yard don't leave it easy to find anything in the carnage they leave behind...) Renault Parts Direct say Renault never sold this piece, only entire door cards, and even those aren't supplied anymore. So if you're breaking a Megane (I'm not sure if this part number is unique to the coupe body style) and still have a complete drivers door, I'd love to hear from you and see what we can work out. I'd like to save money by just buying the piece I need but I'm open to a bit of negotiation if you're worried about ending up with a worthless door card with no door grab handle on it...
Interesting. I checked eBay a couple of days ago, I couldn't find the specific part but I could only find people selling doors (so I messaged a couple to see if the door cards were included). I never even thought of looking somewhere like AliExpress though given that I don't expect there are a lot of Meganes in China but I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the link - that's the wrong side but the same seller does have the "right" version too. As for 3 vs 5 door, I'm really not sure either, which is why I was trying to search for the specific part number. I hopefully have one on the way from AliExpress now but I've bookmarked that eBay seller cos I hadn't seen them before. It's a bit difficult to know what to search for, "interior door handle" was bringing me back mostly the pull handle to open the door, "door grab handle" brought me back some stuff but it was mostly just the front piece which I have, not the back piece that I broke, etc. But if the AliExpress one I've ordered doesn't work out/arrive then I'll definitely try one of those, cheers!
