That was my thing, the engine had done lots of miles and its tracked all the time, i didn't want it to throw a rod out in anger. It was the price of another block and finding one was going to be the bigger problem, also if the rod goes walkabout there is a strong chance the crank will also be scrap.
there’s so many mechanical thinks to go wrong with these cars. iv just found out i got the back bumper resprayed and they must have broken two of the three tabs on the back bumper at the bottom that go by the exhaust hence the back bumper dropping a bit and i can’t close the boot properly now [emoji2357] unless i pull the bumper up slightly. and they never even told me had to find out for myself when i couldn’t close boot.........[emoji2959] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
