Waiting for a 275 cup-s..

  1. Hi All,

Over the weekend I've ordered a 275 cup-s, in black with R-link and the climate pack to replace a 2008 Focus ST3. I'm now waiting for a build/delivery date but am told to expect it around the end of June. I was wondering, have other members who have ordered a new car in the last couple of weeks had an exact build date yet?

    Cheers

    Rich

  2. I ordered mine a few weeks ago and it's currently showing as "End of May", so I would imagine June is a good starting point.

Wouldn't be surprised if it moves into July for you though (and June for me)

  3. Ordered 10 days ago and expecting it early June.

  4. Thanks both. This is going to be a very long 3 months!

  5. In my experience (having bought 2 new Renaults in the last 2 years) is that you'll struggle getting a definitive date, or if you do it will be wrong/change. The dealers can't even get a date from the factory it seems, and even when it's built, they really have no idea how long it will take to reach the dealer/sit on the dockside. Worth the wait though

Hi and welcome btw, OP. What made you chose the Renault over another Ford then?

  6. That's reassuring!

I've no loyalty to any particular manufacturer and while the new RS Focus is appealing I don't want to wait until next year to have one and I probably couldn't afford one anyway.

The main reason for choosing the Megane is it winning all the tests. I had a Honda Accord Type-r before the ST which always felt like a blunt instrument after it, so hopefully the Megane will feel a bit sharper. My kids are getting older as well now so the days of 2 door cars may well be numbered

  7. Well it's here slightly earlier than expected and it's bloody lovely. Sadly the roads are just too full of pensioners, caravans and tractors to really get to know it, but initial impressions are very positive. The ride is firm (standard dampers), but because everything is screwed together properly, there's no crashing over bumps like there was with the Focus.

  10. Thanks both.

It'll be interesting to see where the values go in the future, based on whatever replaces this and how many they've sold of these. I don't get the impression that they've sold loads as the salesman who I dealt with said he'd sold mine and a Nav.

  11. That looks fantastic mate. Feel free to throw some more pics up.

I think renault will sell a reasonable amount of the cup and nav, based on the low price/high value, tbh.

The sales were low on the 275 Trophy probable for the same reason, cost. There was only 96 sold in the UK. I suspect that the two newer models were conceived on the back of the low sales to shift the rest of the RS components.

  12. Looks stunning! More pics needed

  13. Here's some more pictures - just mobile phone stuff, so nothing special. The top one is at the dealer and was the first time I'd seen it. The middle one is the car it's replaced and the bottom one is another from home. 20160529_112903.jpg 20160529_120352.jpg 1464524684536.jpg

  14. Very nice I'm hoping to get a grey or white Cup S when I'm looking my Audi is black so I know the time it takes to make black look clean ! Lol but when a black car has been polished and waxed nothing looks as good in any colour !!

  15. Agree about them being apain to keep clean, but i thought it looks that good its worth the hassle. That said I do think white with a black roof looks a bit special
