Am thinking of doing top engine Mount change. Have got the power flex yellow engine Mount insert(hardly any extra vibration) and the k-etc/ vibrathecnics lower gearbox mount(quite a bit of extra vibration) into the cabin. Don’t really want any extra vibration into cabin at idle as car is a daily. Question is does the top engine Mount give much more Vibration into cabin at idle? Any feedback greatly received, cheers.
as you've already got the upper insert mount assume you're asking in ref to upper stabiliser bar similar to the gearbox stabiliser bar ??
I am indeed, one at top left of engine (as you look at it from front of car) yeah similar to lower gearbox one. Had a fiddle with it and surprised how soft it was, car done between 50,000 - 55,000 miles. Can’t remember exactly.
Have all others myself and am lead to understand the addition of top stabiliser really brings the vibration on in big way so much so quite few have removed
