  1. Hi guys just been quoted £220 plus vat fir a bonnet wrap with venture shield. Does this seem a but steep? I was under the impression that a bonnet was a fairly easy job to do.

  2. Woah. Lemme find out how much it is per metre then you can work out cost of labour!

  3. We pay £15 a metre for 24" wide stuff, would sell it for £40 I guess. So for wider stuff for a bonnet it'd be more like £80-£100 a metre. Then a wrapper would charge at least £50 an hour labour.

  4. So that sounds reasonable?

  5. I got my wrap for 25 at scottish modified and fitted it myself bt u can get bonnets done for 100 in Glasgow

  6. There's different products you could use. Metaguard is cheap, brittle and discolours. Venture shield is thick, flexible and worth it.

You get what you pay for. £25 for it could cost you more in the long run when you try to remove it and it pulls your paint off!

However - do you really need to do it? £250 will get your bonnet resprayed surely?!

  7. I had a spare bonnet anyway so still have my original one in good nick for when I decide to put it back on but I would say 250 is a bit steep

  8. I've got the whole front, half bonnet, front wings, sills, rear wings and boot lip of my 250 covered in ventureshield, it's great stuff, well worth the expense

  9. Dan

    Dan

    Where was that from?

I would like my bonnet, front bumper, wings and front of the roof doing?

  10. I want it for my carbon bonnet, not so easy to get them re-lacquered.

  11. I've had a ventureshield wrap; they did my front bumper, bonnet, leading edges of the front quarters and full arch height leading edges of the rear arches. Their service was excellent and the product is great. It's saved my paintwork so much already.
