My 225 is just about standard. is the high octane fuel worth the extra money. Or will it run fine on 95.
Will be fine on 95 if you want to save the cash, I have not filled any of my cars up with 95 Ron for about 15 years
always used tesco ultimate for 10 years plus on my R26.Never missed a beat. Has the highest octane rating out there..but apparently the fuel is not as high a quality as v power etc.
FWIW on some markets Renault themselves recommend using 98 octane on the RS 225/230 models. Don't know why they don't do this on all markets though. In any case 98 is always safer on a turbo engine because of added buffer against engine pinging. 98 (and naturally 98+) might even gain you a slight improvement in performance under longer stints of sustained acceleration.
