Took my car to Renault today because the steering wasn't feeling the same and wasn't fully self centring! As I expected they told me the passenger side swivel hub bearings are knackered. so I asked them to get me a price and they came back with near enough £600 fitted! In the picture linked is the 2 parts they said I would need as they don't do the bearings separate and I knew that anyway as I've seen on here but want I want to know is do I actually have to renew the left hand part (in the picture) or can I just fit a new hub assembly and wheel bearing to that because they want £200 for that arm and 240 for the hub assembly minus the wheel bearing. sorry to waffle on just a bit confused

Just buy the top & bottom bearings buddy and change those. No need to buy both assembly's, you only need the bearings. £25 for both sides I think. PM not normal dan or L1011 on here as they have replaced these before.
Give Mark Black, Midlands Renault Specialist a shout, he did mine last week at £80 a side. You can see that parts that need replacing here:
Thats a bloody great price to be fair. Id have no hesitation in paying that to save skinned knuckles, blood, swearing and tears.
As Gavin said, take them to a specialist. I think Dan at SJM is closest for you, he can do them. Based in Street not far from Glastonbury.
