R26 Use space saver wheels to fit car on trailer

  1. I've got a BJ trailer I use to tow my Caterham, whilst the max load is high enough to put the R26 on it, the bed width is too narrow (172cm, R26 track looks to be about 180cm)

I'm wondering if fitting 4 space savers wheels to the car would make it narrow enough to fit on the trailer? Has anyone done this or know how much narrower the space saver wheels will make the car?

  4. Can you maybe try with the emergency wheel?

Maybe it doesn't clear the brakes also, you never know coming from Renault haha

  5. I don't know about MK2, but in MK3 if you have a puncture in the front, you have to change a rear wheel forward and put the spare wheel on the rear axle, the brakes are too big for the spare wheels!
