Unusual wear on brake disks.

  1. Just changed my front and rear pads and disks for brembo blanks,xp8`s up front and ds2500 in the rear.
Got 2 years out of the last lot,so its done pretty well.

For once, everything came apart, and went back together without a hitch, including the front pad pins..they just knocked out with ease..unlike last time!

Both front and rear pads were down to 5mm..but the braking performance had dropped right off..annoying really.

With everything on,and bedded in,the braking performance is back to its staggering best..even before i do a rbf600 full flush.

However i did notice a strange front brake disk wear trait.
The inner face of both disks is far more worn than the outer..and its not dragging pistons..they are as free as can be.

Anyone else noticed this on a disk change?

Pretty normal on them, the inside pads always run hotter and therefore wear more. Every set I've taken off mine since I've owned it, which is around 7 or 8 sets now have always had more wear on the inner side, even with fresh calipers etc.
