Hi All, Trying to nail down the route of my rough idling and very slight misfire. Just wondering what sensors should do what when you unplug them. I know if i unplug the coils it dies. So it is a good spot to find a knackered coil pack. What (if anything) should happen if i unplug the o2 sensor? Map sensor? etc. Anything or nothing? Thanks Steve
Ignition coils are paired up, 1 and 4, 2 and 3 So if you remove a plug from the coil it kills 2 cylinders. If you unplug the O2 sensor it will run rich and a bit crap and use loads more fuel
Yeah i just ended up replacing the o2 sensor to see if it was my issue - it wasn't. Still have the same symptoms. Next step is to get it on a proper computer and/or dyno and see what it says.
