  1. Hey guys,
I'm having some issues with interior noises and I have found just a couple of similar threads resolving always just one of them on ''the old forum''.

Feel free to list your issues with interior noises and - if figured out - their solution.

    Got my own list:
    1) window/door seals - have tried a silicone spray on them but works just for a couple of days; been told to not to use shampoo with wax
    2) recaros - squeking and knocking sounds from the passenger seat - no solution yet - gonna try to remove the plastic behind the height adjusting thingy and see what may have been moving or rubbing there
    3) dashboard on the passenger side - only noticeable on bumps and ruff roads, short loud knock, maybe from glove box or from somewhere around it
    4) boot hinge mechanism - duck taped the rubber seals and problem solved

that's so far everything I know off

Hope this thread will be helpful and I will be thankful for any new issues to solve or to think about,
    H.

  2. Swissvax seal feed, its expensive but the windows will be silent : )

  3. I got no 1 and no 3, for no 1 try disarming all of the door panels not success, also try silicon (didnĀ“t work)

    5) I also got a sound on my back mirror, tape it from inside but its still alive
    6) The sunroof also sounds too, just gave it a full service, change the tires and everything but still the same.

  4. Just turn the radio up :-)

Recaro is usually the memory seat thingy in the runner, grease it up and it stops the rattle.

Did mine last week and been fine so far

  6. I do that all the time (loud Radio), the issue is when u got people in and what little conversation

  7. Loud radio doesn't work at all because of the rubbish speakers, that's just more noise

  8. Hi, what are the symptoms of number 4?! And what exactly have you done?! Ta Craig

  9. So, my 250 has recently decided that it's boot hinge is going to start knocking on off-camber bumps that cause the chassis to twist a bit (i.e, coming out of a car park while tuning and dropping off a short curb). Not a huge problem but I'd like to silence it a bit.

Most definitely sounds like it's coming from the left side. I think it's the hinges that hold the hydraulic lifters for the boot. They look a bit dry to be honest, as does the latch itself (though it seems to be catching well) I was thinking greasing them up might sort the problem. What sort of grease would people use? Your normal automotive grease or the white lithium based stuff? Was planning to do the door hinges with the same stuff too.

  10. Just to update, I sprayed the hinges, latch and where the lifters make contact with the boot and the noise has gone. Used white grease in the end. Strange how much a small amount if grease could sort the problem!
