i would have thought Renault have put a top driver behind the wheel and not one of us track day lads, surely they would be much quicker?

 

My thoughts exactly, id be putting one of the VLN racers in it who can drive the ring blindfolded and with razor blades wedged under their fingernails

That kind of suggests they are very confident at going faster still. Looking forward to seeing the final time.

Around 8 mins Dan, this is why I'm not that impressed, they've had nearly 6 years of new technology with power, better brakes, better suspension, it's bound to beat it .

 

of course its going to beat it. They wouldnt have all the promotion if it only gets 7:59 for example. Its going to be a good lot less.

It says Safety Car on the back window unless I'm mistaken, this could just be a custom specced interior intended for track use/pace making.
