This might be a stupid question but here goes anyway! I had my wheels refurbed last October and since then the front two tyres keep losing pressure. I've taken the car to kwik fit and they said it's because the guy didn't sand blast around the valves (admittedly he didn't do the best job and he'll need to do the wheels again) but I'm sure it's just a valve issue. I asked if they could take the tyres off and re seal around the valves but they didn't want to. Is this just them being lazy or is there actually an issue with the wheel it's self?
My gf's 182 was losing pressure in one of the tyres. I took the wheel off and popped down to my local tyre place, they took it off me and returned about 10 mins later, they told me it was a leaking valve and they had replaced it - the total cost was £4. Worth a try at a few quid if that's what you think it is.
Yeah I was probably silly to take it down on a Friday afternoon! He just gave me some chrome plastic valve caps and sent me on my way! They promptly went in the bin!
Got new valves and wheels balanced for £26. Car feels a lot better now! It's odd how much the kwik fit people do when you pretend you really know your sh*t and insist on them doing it!
