  1. Hi Guys,

Need some new front tyres and i preferably want the pilot super sport but i can only find them in 225/40/18 rather than 235, are there any drawbacks to running 225s? or alternatively does anyone know if they are sold in 235?

    Thanks Harry

  2. 7% speed difference on counter. Nothing major

I run Federal RSR 595 in the same size you quoted and had no isses other than the above.

225 is better just make sure you get the 92y and not the 88.

  4. I got my pss 235 40 18 from tyre leader but for some reason there hit and miss, but it's the only place I could find who do that Siez in the uk

  5. How is 225 better? The 235 has a wider footprint which will give more grip. Not to mention that 235 is standard on the R26.

  6. U must used the standar meassure, imagine u used a bigger shoe to run, do u feel confortable? The same on the car

Honestly it's pointless me explaining on this forum but a wider tyre isn't always better as most seem to think

  8. Why is it pointless explaining on this forum? Think we won't understand?

Maybe you could answer this, why does the non cup 250 come on 225 and the more focused cup come with 235 as standard if it's worse?

  9. Beat me to it mate, this was my next line haha.

  10. We're not worthy

  11. 225,or 235?. With my driving skill,( what driving skill?!.) it won't make any difference!.

  12. You mean you've given up on beating the FWD Ring record?

  13. Because the cup has 8.25" wide wheels and the non cup has 8" wide wheels. Realistically 10mm of tyre isn't going to make a huge difference, but if you have the slightly wider wheels to get a sqaure sidewall you should use the correct tyres.

  14. Yes, I also gave up beating the RWD,and the 4x4 drive ring record.I did overtake a 458 down the long straight, but in fairness,it was in the barriers.
