Turbo heat shield worth removing?

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by paul_sbt, Jul 26, 2013.

  1. I've seen a few engine bays of people who have the heat shield's for on the turbo removed, does this have any benefits or just for the looks?

just for looks, it helps pull hot air from the bay so i'd leave it.

  3. take it off and polish it mate they add a bit of bling for no money!

  4. Thanks for input guys! If i have some spare time i guess polishing it would look good!

I'd rather have a nice shiny painted engine cover than a metal pipe myself
