  1. Hello All,

My rear brakes are binding on my 225 cup and have recently bought some R26 TRW rear callipers to go on that I'm going to refurbish.

Can anyone tell me if they'll fit?
Whats needed to fit them? Straight swap?
    Are the pads the same?
Are the brake lines/handbrake fitment the same?

    Cheers

    Ric

  2. Theyll be fine ric

  3. Awesome mate. Need to get them refinished then.

  4. Is your cup a ph1 or ph2?

  5. Sorry, 55 plate phase 1.

  6. The calipers you've bought won't fit I'm afraid.

  7. How sure are you! Which aspect of them is the problem?

  8. Pretty sure.

They're a totally different caliper from the ph1 rear caliper which means the mounting point are different.

  9. I wonder if anyone has had a go at machining them if that's the case.

  10. I'm not sure mate.

Tbh I personally don't think it would be worth the hassle.

  11. Only paid £30 for the pair so no real dramas. But would like to have a go at getting them bolted on.

Either that or refurb the ones I have!

  12. Like stevo says they won't fit, they're a totally different style. Save yourself the trouble and buy the proper ones.

  13. Bummer. Ive got me old mans r26 and me 225 in at work at the mo. Ill take a pic for you Ric. See whats going on with these different calipers. Crackers how theyre not the same :/

  14. The ph1 225 calipers actually slide on the pins whereas the ph2 caliper slides are on the carrier

  15. You in on Sat Jonty? I might pop down just to take a look.

  16. Ah ok. Im only in for an hr doing a few bits. About 9 till 10 ish.

  17. Ok mate. Maybe see you then.

  18. Ill txt u when im there bud

  19. Ph1 are ATE, Ph2 are TRW's, you'll need to swap rear beam to fit trw's
