Trophy 265 overspray

  1. I dropped my car off to be washed and polished yesterday and I got a phone call from the lad
to say that the car is covered in white overspray so I went and looked at it 2 day and it's bad
the car is covered from roof to wheels glass and all so he said that he would not chance trying
to remove it and to take it to a body shop but I'm thinking that detailing would be the best way
out of it or would a body shop be ok any ideas
    thanks

  2. Photos? If its minor clay should shift it and a good machine polish but depends on the paint thats on it too i guess!

  3. Over spray from what, body work you've had done, if so take it back

  4. What Steve says, I'd make the garage foot the bill for any correction work that needs doing.

Have it detailed, a bodyshop will remove it but wont put the necessary steps in to remove it without alot of clear. They will compound it off and then leave the compounding marks from my experience. Clay bar as matty said will work well, even if you have to go for the meguars aggressive clay bar and then have a light-medium polish you will be left overspray free and with a much better finish.

  6. it often come from factory with overspray. mine had some on the roof that was quite bad but it's a lot better than it was after clay and some machining. the paintwork really is poor from renault

  7. My facelift 365 had matt grey/black overspray on Grill, Spoiler and light grey/off white on instrument glass!!

All removed with clay and Autogym
