Traction / steering issue , Help needed please

  1. Good evening guys and girls , I'm just after picking some brains really,
since buying my 07 team f1 a month or so ago, it all seems fine, now for some reason it seems to have gained more boost? ( plus side)
the bit I'm after is since doing this it feels like I have no traction , it almost lifts the front wheels of the road,
also has a major issue with going in a straight line, (possible torque steer) but it will almost pull you the other side of the road, and can go either way,
any ideas very welcome ,

  2. Does it still handle well, what are tyres, condition ?

  3. Hi pagey3103 to be honest I have lost a bit of confidence in the handling so don't want to push it to much,
the tyres are brand new well have done approx 1000 miles they were advised my a forum member for being a very good tyre,
it's just strange the way it pulls left or right there is no set pattern

  4. Whrn my car handled like that it needed new tie rods worth getting soneone to check out your front suspension componenets to be sure

  5. It can also be the hub bearings. I had the same handling issues in my '08 R26, that it would tram line badly and when under boost was difficult to keep in a straight line. Went to Mark Black and had the lower hub bearings replaced (I think around £150, I really can't remember) and that sorted out the handling.

  6. Cheers for the advise , I did have a idea it could be the hub bearings, stripping them out this weekend and will get them changed,
god dammmm, least I no there be all good then,

  7. It could be track rod ends and or track rods. Mine was twitchy but when I replaced them it was much more stable. Was unnerving under acceleration and braking so have a look to see if there's play in the steering.

  8. Hub bearings coming with the symptom of heavy steering and not self centre-ing?
If you can get the wheels off the ground, preferably on a ramp, you can see where the play is by tugging the wheels firmly.
