Track day bushes vs road/trackday bushes?

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Stock265cup, Nov 23, 2018.

  1. I’m wanting to improve the handling of my Megane and have been thinking about upgrading the suspension bushes all round (suspension is completely standard at the moment). I use the car pretty much everyday with a few trackdays per year.
Main question is would the trackday bushes be to Firm/harsh for everyday use? Would I be better going for the road/track day bushes?
It’s a 265 cup and I have never thought that the standard set up is to firm for every day use as some people say. Would be interested to hear the thoughts of people who have changed the bushes in their cars. Cheers.

Leave the stock bushes. Every aftermarket polybush will fail due to the design of the arm

  3. Ok thanks for the info, what about the front and rear adjustable anti roll bars that are available?

Rear makes very little difference imo, more stability at speed but that'a all I really noticed.

Not done front arb yet but have one waiting to go on. Meant to be. A lot more noticeable but does make it a bit more front bias which can be dialled out if your on a decent set of coilovers.

I'm sure it will still help stiffen things up on the oem setup though. I think Cup with uprated Arbs is the ideal UK road setup

  5. Right, any product that you recommend for anti roll bars? I was looking at Ktec website seems they have 2 available, super pro and another I cant remember the name of.

    Superpro and whiteline.

Whiteline ones are not long out, I've just bought a front one for mine as it was considerably cheaper, they also have 25% off today meaning the front and rear kit comes in at £300 which is a bit of a bargain.

They are both the same sizes etc, just different colours really

  7. Ok, thanks for the information, very helpful.
