Thought I could share this here. As you may know, the RS dCi175 never came with TPMS as standard. I find this feature very useful because I do many fast motorway miles across France and Spain and sometimes you don't detect punctures until it is too late, especially with low profile high performance tyres. I did some research and my RS had the "high level" UCH and thought that all the hardware necessary for the TPMS bar the sensors was there. I configured the UCH and the clocks with CLIP to confirm it could be done. Then I bought 4 VDO sensors, reference S180014810Z. Now, the tricky thing for me was to write the codes of the sensors in the UCH, as you need a special activation tool. After some research, I decided to give a go to the cheap eBay tool "Super EL50448“, that it's intended for GM and Ford. I set it up in GM mode and CLIP recognised instantly the sensors, so I can say it works perfectly and was only 18€
really useful, was it just install the sensors and change the UCH and job done? Do you have the UCH ref/part number so we can compare with ours?
