TPMS programming

  1. Anyone done it on a RS225?

I have a (ebay) CAN clip.
I have an acutel ts401 that activates and reads the Renault sensors fine.

Problem - clip is not seeing the tpms sensors get excited during programming, although they clearly are as in getting ping back data on the ts401.

Anyone had any experience in programming new sensors?
What clip software where you using?
    How did you do it?

    Cheers for any help.

  2. you need activator tool and 3bar to activate programing

  3. Thanks Filo.
The ts401 is an activator, but tbh I didn't bother changing the tyre pressures to 3 bar (think it's actually even higher in the text on clip!).

Have you programmed tpms sensors? If so what clip and software version did you use, and what process did you use?

    Cheers.

  4. Changed in the local Renault service. I was present during the procedure
All tires must be at 3 bar, and all four sensors must be operational because they are programmed in the set. One by one in order activator started from front left tire -front right -rear right - rear left . After each activation that lasts a few seconds need to store serial number of valve on clip then next tire . Activator actually sends the serial number of the valve to the clip .

Factory sensors have lasted a very short period of time in my car . They tried to convince me that the sensors are not worth the effort and should be tuned of . Wrong ! New set work like dream. In the period when they are not working i have flat tire on the back at speed over 200km/h . Rear tire had half a bar when i manage to stop car . From the high temperature caused by low pressure Tyre twisted and began to jump on the road and start to melt . Scary and very ugly experience .
