Anyone had any long term experience with these? Do they discolour? Need a new set of lockers, and thought about getting new bolts all black too..
Saw a thread the other day, where people were saying within 12 months they start to rust, think the polarized ones are ok though
Hmm that's disappointing. Interesting about the polarized ones though thanks. Anyone else got anything to chip in?
A few people did moan about the black ones going bad in this thread:- http://www.rsmegane.com/showthread....e-for-wheel-bolts/page5&highlight=wheel+bolts. Theres allways platidip or bolt covers if you fancy it a bit cheaper?
I find ebay tuner bolts good enough they rust if you take em on and off all the time but theyre cheap me and a mate both have them
So something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-ALLOY-...Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item1c30ed0dc2 The problem is I'm buying new locking nuts too, so want them all to match. But they are kind of a deterrent as they need the key to remove it I guess? I was tempted with the covers for £13, but then the locker is left on its own so negates the point!
Yep they're the ones I didn't go for lockers as they different anyway I had covers originally but they discoulerd quickly and didn't cover the lock nut I won't be bothered if I need to replace because them in a year cause they are cheap anyway and look a lot better than standard
Good option there, thanks! Is the link I posted the correct fitment? It says it's not but the measurements seem ok..
Appreciate the offer mate. I reckon it's gonna be 6 months + before you see any real indication of their robustness though.
So ' Not for use with Flat seat (eg original/standard/OE Toyota/Mitsubishi/Lexus wheels), Ball seat (eg original/standard/OE Honda/VAG wheels), or original/standard/OE Ford wheels' means taper seat? Hard to tell
Got the black TPI bolts on mine, look great, so much better than the rusty original bolts.... Only been on for about 3 months, so will certainly keep an eye on how they wear.
^^^^ They WILL rust after a while. If you can try to protect them - might have helped mine last longer.
