Basically this light has been flashing on and off fairly often when idling. It's the one that looks like the engine, not the spanner one. Unsure whether the car is spluttering at idle, it has Milltek exhaust so is fairly loud. Fuel economy has been poor, only 28mpg with my Mrs' driving Miss Daisy style. Injectors? The car is an early '08 R26 (50,000 miles) so will have the blue ones, but can they still throw up this problem? I've ordered a code reader which should be here tonight.
Yeah sounds exactly like injectors, mine had the blue ones and was only on 35k when they went like that. It'l probably throw up random cylinder misfire / low fuel misfire etc when you read it. I think injector tune will clean all 4 for around 60 quid but you have to post them out and wait for them to be returned or a few members used to do an exchange service for around 90 i think
Yeah sounds like the injectors liquidf1 does an exchange service he did mine for me, top bloke Ed and we'll worth it.
I've booked it into a local place, Northampton Motorsport, who test for £6 an injector and if they need doing it's £26 each. I've used them for things before, and whilst they aren't a Renault specialist they are shit hot and don't fuck about. I won't be paying for this anyway, 28 day trade warranty.

I read the codes and got P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire and P0313 misfire detected low fuel level.
Injectors sorted, the car idles a lot smoother and is using significantly less fuel. The injectors were pulsed at 3 and 6ms for the test, and two did nothing at 3ms and only half of the others at 6ms. They're all the same now.
