275 Torque on Remap is less better?

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by NotaDiesel!!!, Aug 21, 2020.

  1. I noticed that stage 1 remap on 250/265/275 seem to go to around 300 bhp but torque can be as much as 350 lbs/ft.

Has anybody remapped with a lower torque figure or asked it to be built gradually across the rev range rather than a big thump in the mid range? Or limited full torque to higher gears?

Does seem crazy to ask for less?? But may improve driveability?

I remember after getting my R26 remapped I just drove it like a diesel using the low rev grunt. Whereas my std 275 seems to benefit from being revved as std making it enjoyable.

  2. Remapped to lower level....never
Remapped with linear torque curve ......often

As long as the torque line is straight or a slight curve with no dips or peaks it will drive great
