Top stabiliser

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by RobC, Jan 22, 2019.

  1. Hello all, I've started to get quite a bit of engine movement which is annoying the hell out of me.
I imagine that it is the upper stabiliser mount as all of the others have been uprated within the last year or so.
The part is only about £30 / £40 so my question is how easy is it to fit?
Does the engine need supporting to keep the alignment whilst changing the mount?
    Cheers
    Rob

  2. Not 100% sure on MK3 but on the MK2 it's just removing the bolts, removing the old mount and then installing new one then tightening down the bolts again. 10 minute job.

the top stabiliser mount can be removed without supporting the engine, rear bolt is a bit of a struggle but doable

  4. Thanks guys
